Celebrating Women in Tech on International Women’s Day – Yubico

With today being International Women’s Day, it’s the perfect time to recognize female pioneers in technology who have made monumental impacts in their chosen fields of healthcare, finance, internet security, and more. Now more than ever, it’s critical that businesses continue to invest in diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging – simultaneously providing the support and platform for women to be heard, recognized, and rewarded. At Yubico, we are fortunate to work with and learn from a great female visionary and leader, our chief executive officer and co-founder, Stina Ehrensvärd.

In February, Yubico employees joined Stina and our colleagues in-person (following strict COVID protocols) for an inspiring, work-filled, and productive all-company meeting. During our time together, we heard Yubico leaders, partners, and industry experts share thoughts, advice, and insights on various topics related to cybersecurity and the tech industry as a whole.

During a panel discussion at our event focused on women in technology, Stina was joined by Abby Guha, VP of Enterprise Product Marketing at Yubico, and Debby Meredith, a technical advisor for many top technology companies including Yubico.

Abby, Debby, and Stina discussed topics including some of the top challenges of being a female leader in tech, how the culture for women in tech has changed in the past 20 years, as well as the opportunities and what can be done to further the culture to empower more women in tech. Check out the video below to hear the great discussion:

Don’t miss our upcoming joint webinar with 1Password and Auth0 on March 23 in the latest edition of 1Password’s “Heart of Cybersecurity” series.
