Yubico launches expanded YubiEnterprise Subscription: More choice, faster rollouts and greater peace of mind for enterprises

We’re excited to announce today’s launch of our expanded YubiEnterprise Subscription program, which aims to offer enterprise customers lower cost and value to entry, flexibility, faster rollout and seamless distribution. As cyberattacks continue to escalate at an alarming rate globally, Yubico strives to offer the most impactful way to up-level enterprise security. By equipping organizations with the gold-standard of phishing-resistant, hardware-based authentication with the YubiKey, companies can better protect themselves, their employees, and their customers against malicious hackers.

Our updated and enhanced YubiEnterprise Subscription program was designed with this in mind, delivering to our customers all of the benefits that Yubico offers.

Suited for organizations with 500 users or more, enterprises can now choose from two subscription enterprise plans: YubiEnterprise Subscription Plus and YubiEnterprise Subscription Standard

Within each of these programs, customers will have the option to choose from the following three tiers:

  • Base (Security Key Series)
  • Advanced (YubiKey 5 Series)
  • Compliance (YubiKey 5 FIPS Series and YubiKey 5 CSPN Series)

What does this mean for our customers?

Moving to a subscription-first model for enterprises is a natural progression to ensure that companies are adopting easy to use and modern, phishing-resistant MFA at scale. With subscription, customers get a web-based console that brings greater visibility and transparency into what has been ordered, as well as gain opportunities for the best value to purchase and distribute YubiKeys.

Organizations can derive the best value by opting for Plus subscription which includes additional value and services such as:

  • a percentage of purchase as funds available that can be applied towards Professional Services to help you get YubiKeys rolled out quickly;
  • customized key programming to meet unique organizational needs;
  • 25% replacement keys that can be used for employee churn, lost keys, or upgrades to other YubiKeys within the Subscription tier;
  • bigger discounts on secure backup keys that ensure your secondary authentication mechanism is as strong as the primary method.

All subscription plans retain access to the YubiEnterprise Delivery program which helps organizations automate time-consuming tasks such as distribution, inventory management and more. It also provides customers a link to a web-based console, giving them instant visibility and access to their authentication orders and shipments.

Additionally, today Yubico introduced the upcoming expansion of the Security Key Series lineup to include two new enterprise, FIDO-only (FIDO2/WebAuthn and FIDO U2F) keys. Available to YubiEnterprise Subscription customers only, the enterprise Security Keys will include serial numbers to meet current and future enterprise requirements.

Subscription contributes to customers’ ROI

Customers that currently leverage Yubico’s subscription program have already seen a benefit. In a recent Yubico-commissioned analysis, a Forrester Consulting‘s Total Economic Impact™ (TEI) study examined the potential return on investment (ROI) enterprises may realize by deploying YubiKeys – specifically via subscription. Yubico’s hardware security key subscription and delivery services contributed significantly to the ROI organizations reaped from their MFA investments. As an example, a 5,000-person composite organization representative of interviewed customers leveraging Yubico’s YubiEnterprise Services, with YubiEnterprise Subscription paired with YubiEnterprise Delivery, achieved a 203% ROI over three years
