Introducing the expanded Security Key Series, featuring Enterprise Edition keys (coming soon!) and an updated YubiKey pricing strategy

As part of our YubiEnterprise Subscription announcement, we’re excited to share that we’ll be expanding the Security Key Series lineup to include two new enterprise, FIDO-only (FIDO2/WebAuthn and FIDO U2F) keys.

Now available in two options — an enterprise version as part of the YubiEnterprise Subscription program or a consumer version available on a perpetual basis — we’ve enhanced the series to meet our customers requirements, while still providing the most value. These new keys will help organizations scale security using FIDO-only modern authentication protocols at an affordable price. The key will include serial numbers to assist enterprises in keeping track of inventory and will be etched on the back of the device to differentiate them from other YubiKey models.

Additionally, the entire lineup now transitions from blue to black in color matching the iconic look and feel of our flagship YubiKey 5 Series. The introduction of black Security Keys helps streamline manufacturing as we meet heightened customer demand.

Details on Yubico’s new, updated YubiEnterprise Subscription offering can be found in our other blog post here

The Security Key Series has been one of our most beloved key series over the years, and for good reason. It’s an affordable modern Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) solution that supports consumers and enterprises alike, that are trusted to help secure their devices users against the increasing rise of sophisticated cyberattacks.

These two editions will be available soon. Sign-up here to get the latest update on availability.

Updated, value-based pricing structure

As part of our mission to make the internet safer for everyone, and to make phishing-resistant MFA accessible, Yubico prioritizes production of the highest quality solutions at a competitive price for businesses.

Our goal is to continue to drive innovation and to do so, Yubico is making updates to increase pricing on the majority of its devices to coincide with the new YubiEnterprise Subscription offering. Even as perpetual prices are raised, the Subscription pricing in comparison delivers a value increase at a compelling price point. In essence, customers will receive all the benefits that come with the program, while helping us further accelerate our growth and pace of innovation.

The updated pricing is a result of macro economic trends and component expenses. These changes will help Yubico continue to innovate and help us better support consumers and the growing needs of enterprises as they face urgency to move to modern, phishing-resistant MFA for their global user base.
