Yubico Demonstrates the Simplicity of Authentication, with a Simple Touch, at Black Hat EU 2015

AMSTERDAM, NETHERLANDS AND PALO ALTO, CA, November 12, 2015 – Yubico, the leading provider of simple and open online identity protection, today announced the company’s participation at Black Hat EU, November 12-13, in Amsterdam, Netherlands. Yubico will be demonstrating FIDO U2F authentication and new partner integrations throughout Black Hat EU at Booth #507.

Yubico is a co-creator of FIDO U2F (Universal 2nd Factor), an open authentication standard that breaks the mold for high-security, public-key hardware devices by removing the complexity of drivers, clients software and costly certificate authority (CA).  This past year, U2F and YubiKeys have received massive industry attention, with the help of Google, Dropbox, and GitHub integrating the protocol into their platforms.

The YubiKey NEO is Yubico’s do-everything device, uniquely supporting the U2F standard along with One-Time Passcodes (OTP), smart card functionality (including OpenPGP and PIV), and NFC for wireless support.  A YubiKey factors in a wide range of secure access scenarios, including remote access and VPN, password managers, computer login, content management systems, and online services.

At Black Hat EU Booth #507, Yubico will be demonstrating how a single YubiKey, and a simple touch, can authenticate to multiple services and websites with broad protocol support, including:

  • YubiKey U2F login to Google, Dropbox, and GitHub accounts
  • OTP login to Okta, PingOne, and Duo
  • PIV login to computers and servers
