As the cyber threat landscape continues evolving with AI-driven phishing attacks, enterprises need seamless access to identity security that can’t be socially engineered, intercepted or bypassed. Having the ability to get phishing-resistant YubiKeys into employees’ hands quickly and cost effectively – without adding burden to IT departments – is critical, and we’re committed to helping organizations achieve this at scale.
Today, we’re excited to announce a significant expansion of YubiKey as a Service with powerful new features that accelerate our customer’s journeys to passwordless modern authentication with hardware passkeys: Self-Service Ordering, enabled with a new Customer Portal. YubiKey as a Service delivers enterprise-grade security, making it easy for enterprises to secure digital identities at scale. Organizations can procure and deploy YubiKeys to 199 locations globally (175 countries and 24 territories) as a simple subscription that enables predictable cost and streamlined operations.
Available exclusively through YubiKey as a Service, IT teams can now use the new Self-Service Ordering capability within the Customer Portal to empower end users, such as entire workforces, to directly order YubiKeys and have them shipped to an address of their choice across U.S., Canada and Europe. The new Customer Portal is specifically designed to help IT teams streamline the rollout and management of YubiKey deployments globally at scale – fast-tracking adoption of organization-wide phishing-resistant authentication.
Self-Service Ordering: Accelerated distribution of YubiKeys in a branded experience tailored to your business
Self-Service Ordering now allows organizations to accelerate delivery of YubiKeys by freeing up end users to directly order YubiKeys themselves – allowing IT teams to ensure strong cyber resilience and protect business continuity in a more turnkey process. User address identification and YubiKey form factor selection can all be done by users once they have received email invites from IT. This includes simple instructions on how to efficiently select their keys and get up and running on the most secure passkeys to stop credential theft from phishing attacks.

Simple, fast process for IT to create and send invites to end users
The process for IT admins to send email invitations out to individuals or groups is highly intuitive. IT can quickly create the custom invites within a web-based management portal, and employees are ushered back to a personalized, custom-branded web page to choose the YubiKey form factor that fits their specific devices and enter their own shipping details. This service currently supports direct shipping to home or office locations across the U.S., Canada, and Europe.

The new Customer Portal: Deploying and managing YubiKey rollouts through a more streamlined and unified management dashboard
The updated Customer Portal provides an updated user experience, including a centralized dashboard for deploying and managing YubiKeys with clarity. The first thing you’ll notice is the seamless navigation, featuring a clean home page with intuitive “cards” that provide instant access to your most important tasks.

Key new features and highlights include:
- Unified Inventory Management: A new inventory overview provides a clear view of all purchased licenses and keys, distinguishing between total inventory and what is currently shippable.
- Streamlined Operations: Admins can view purchases, deploy YubiKeys directly, create entitlements, manage users, assign roles, and track shipment requests, ensuring hands-off rollouts that free up IT resources for strategic initiatives.
- Enhanced Visibility: The portal replaces confusing legacy views with dedicated sections for purchases, delivery, and end-user orders – providing a holistic view for seamless global YubiKey management.
By empowering your workforce with choice and autonomy, organizations can dramatically accelerate the adoption of phishing-resistance while reducing the burden on internal help desks. Available exclusively through YubiKey as a Service, organizations can benefit from Enrollment and Delivery services – expediting time to value for phishing-resistant, passwordless authentication to secure digital identities at scale.
New features and updates will start reaching customers today and roll out progressively over the coming weeks.
