YubiKey 4

Your users create and access a lot of your organization’s most important data on Salesforce.com. The first step to protecting this data from unauthorized access is enabling two-factor authentication.

Salesforce.com Administrators can quickly enable FIDO Universal 2nd Factor (U2F) with the YubiKey now. Then users can easily register their YubiKey protection against hackers.

Salesforce.com Winter ’17 Release (September 2016)

Salesforce completed integration of the FIDO Universal 2nd Factor (U2F) authentication standard in the Winter ’17 release. It’s a more secure, more convenient alternative to using Salesforce Authenticator or One-Time Passwords (OTP) sent by email or SMS.

Salesforce.com Winter ’15 Release (January 2015) – NOT SUPPORTED

Salesforce.com introduced two-factor authentication with One-Time Passwords (OTP) in the Winter ‘15 Release. As a Salesforce admin, you can allow users to authenticate with their YubiKey any time they’re challenged to verify their identity.

Please Note: Yubico no longer supports the YubiKey for Salesforce app on the Salesforce AppExchange. We cannot guarantee new installs will work. It is recommended that you use FIDO U2F instead.
