    Estimated shipping times

    Orders usually ship within one business day of receipt. Estimated shipping time by country and shipping option is noted on the ordering page. Allow an additional 7-10 days before contacting Yubico (or your reseller) to inquire about a shipment. Orders may be delayed during promotional periods.

    We ship our products from the United States and the European Union. There may be import duties/customs fees associated with your order if you are importing from outside these regions. Customs clearances might cause a delay in shipping.

    Our official local resellers can often provide quicker shipping and no additional import duties/customs fees.

    Import duties/Customs fees

    Products purchased at Yubico.com are shipped from the United States and the European Union. When a package must travel through border customs, there may be an import duty that the buyer is responsible for paying. Typically this means that if a package is being shipped outside of the United States or European Union, it will be subject to import duty.

    A request for payment will usually come from the shipping company. It is the buyer’s responsibility to know their country’s import duties and taxes, and is expected to pay them when importing products from Yubico.

    We cannot currently ship to:
    China, Afghanistan, Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Kazakhstan, North Korea, Iran, Sudan, Cuba, or Syria.

    Sales tax

    US sales tax

    If an item is subject to sales tax in the state to which the order is shipped, sales tax is generally calculated on the total selling price of each individual item. For certain shipments, taxes may be collected on shipping and handling charges in accordance with state tax laws. The amount of tax charged on an order will depend on factors including the type of item purchased and destination of the shipment. Factors can change between the time you place an order and the time of credit card charge authorization, which could impact the sales tax calculation. The amount appearing on your order is an Estimated Tax and may differ from the sales taxes ultimately charged.

    Tax exemption

    Some US individuals or businesses may qualify for tax exempt purchases.

    VAT

    We use the VIES service to validate VAT numbers. If your number does not validate, we cannot accept it. Check if your number validates on the VIES service. If it does not, contact your local VAT authority.

    Returns and cancellations (Yubico.com)

    We have worked very hard to create the YubiKey and we hope that it brings simplicity and security to your services and devices. We offer technical support and answers to many commonly asked questions via our Knowledge Base. In addition, our support team is available to help and you can reach them at https://support.yubico.com.

    We understand that YubiKey may not be right for every person or use case. In case you decide YubiKey isn’t right for you, we are happy to accept a return for eligible consumers, and provide a refund for your purchased products.

    Return policy

    Products purchased by private persons (i.e., consumer purchasers) directly from Yubico.com are eligible to be returned within 45 days of receipt. Your payment method will be credited the full amount for the products returned minus associated restocking and shipping fees if applicable.

    The following return instructions apply only to Yubico products purchased online at Yubico.com by consumer purchasers. If you have purchased Yubico products through other online channels, such as Amazon or a Yubico reseller, you should contact Amazon or the reseller directly for their return instructions.  

    Restocking fees

    • There is no restocking fee for the return of up to keys.
    • A 10% restocking fee will be applied for the return of 10 or more keys.
    • A 10% restocking fee will be applied for the return of any number of YubiHSMs.

    Non-refundable fees

    Shipping fees and borders/customs/duties fees will not be refunded. The customer is responsible for paying the return postage.

    Instructions for returns

    To begin a Yubico.com return please request a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) by completing the Yubico Customer Support form. Please package the products along with a copy of the RMA number that is provided to you. The RMA number must be printed with the return address that will also be provided. From the date that the RMA is granted, the returned items must be received by Yubico within 30 days.

    Returning discounted orders

    Products that were purchased with a promotional discount or in a bundle with a discount will be fairly refunded.

    E.g. Yubico offers an online special (two YubiKeys with $10 discount). (2) YubiKey 5 NFC (Normally $45 each) = $90 $80. The customer returns one of the YubiKeys which was part of the special bundled offer. The customer will receive a refund of $35. This reflects a purchase of one YubiKey 5 NFC at its normal price, as the order is no longer eligible for the discounted price.

    Cancellations

    Orders cancelled before shipment has left Yubico will be refunded in full.

    Shipped orders

    Orders cancelled after shipment has left Yubico will be refunded per the Return policy.

    Orders for non-consumer purchasers are not eligible for cancellation.
