Successful launch of the YubiKey 2.0

The launch of the Yubikey 2.0 can be summarized with an unexpected high demand and great feedback from our community.

Some users have also made their own durability tests, including diving 48 meters under salt water, taking the YubiKey through the washing machine and driving over it with a LandRover! (Yes, it survived!)

We apologize to all customers who had to wait several weeks for delivery. The new manufacturing is now up to speed for orders in any volume.

And the YubiKey is today successfully verified by 4,000 customers in 70 countries!

Portal for corporate web applications

Together with Swiss/American IT-solution provider Wizable, we are providing the next generation IT-solution to a top 5 pharmaceutical company. The system is designed for sales representatives who are no longer provided an office or a corporate computer. They are contracted to work from their home computer and the YubiKey allows them to securely access a web portal with a range of corporate applications, including Oracle Siebel CRM.

Secure and affordable e-commerce systems

We have finalized the YubiKey integration into our own web store, built on the popular open source platform osCommerce. We can warmly recommend this free software for building advanced e-commerce systems, now also available with YubiKey support to protect sensitive customer data. The implementation is currently being certified by the osCommerce team.

As a request from the CIO of a Swedish local eGoverment, Mobilityguard now offers YubiKey support. This identity management software is used by enterprises and local eGoverments throughout Sweden, now including the opportunity for citizens to lend books from the local library with a YubiKey!

We have now updated all of our documentation, addressing our security and processes. Our Windows software is now digitally signed, featuring Microsoft Authenticode technology. Digital signatures provide confidence when downloading executables and installers over the Internet.
