Yubico was founded with the vision to be ubiquitous: One secure identity for logging in to an endless number of online services. We also knew this vision would never be possible without open identity standards.
We are now excited to see that one of the open identity standards is starting to meet a critical mass. The short name of this protocol is SAML and has been deployed by the leading cloud services, dozens of nations and hundreds of universities.
Below is a selection of three Yubico partners and cloud identity providers who have embraced SAML and are providing the link between the YubiKey user and their favorite online application.
Swedish school kids use YubiKey to login
The Swedish Data Inspection Agency recently required all staff and students at Swedish schools to use two-factor authentication. With a cloud based single sign-on solution from Svensk e-Identitet, several Swedish schools are now deploying YubiKeys. With a personal YubiKey the school kids can now easy and securely login to the range of schools systems, including Google Apps, Windows Live, Unikum, Schoolsoft, etc.
Secure access to Salesforce and Cisco WebEx
Wealthfront, the leading marketplace providing access to outstanding money managers, is using YubiKeys with OneLogin’s single sign-on and identity management service. “With OneLogin and YubiKey, we are able to login securely to all our corporate applications as well as thousands of online services with one password and a simple click of a button,” says Pascal-Louis Perez, CTO, Wealthfront, Inc.
Login to PayPal with YubiKey
YubiKey is now available as one of the strong authentication methods in Symantec’s VIP Authentication Service, used by eBay, PayPal, AOL and others.
