To authenticate at a website supporting YubiKey
1. Insert your YubiKey in the USB-port with the USB-contact facing upward. For PC, the first time you use the YubiKey, wait until Windows has detected the device. For Mac OS X, choose any keyboard to use. Make sure that the touch-button shines with a steady light.

2. Place the input cursor in the YubiKey input field.

3.Place your fingertip on the button, hold for a second and the YubiKey sends your unique ID and a time variant pass code to the server.

Troubleshooting
Not connected to the USB Port
If your YubiKey does not appear to work, double check that it shines with a steady green light when inserted. If the YubiKey is inserted up-side down it will not work.

The touch-button does not work
You do not need to press hard, just rest your finger tip for half a second on the surface inside the shining ring. It will not work if you are wearing gloves or using a pen or other device to press.
